Once your Email Account is verified, you will be provided with the option to change Microsoft User Account Password. Enter your Current Password and then type in your New Password. On the next screen, enter the Security Code and click on the Verify button. On Verify your identity screen, click on your Email Address to receive a Security Code from Microsoft. In the right pane, scroll down and select the Password option and click on the Change button. Go to Settings > Accounts > select Sign-in Options in the left pane. Note: Move to next method, if you do not know the password for your Microsoft User Account. If you know your current Microsoft Password, you can login to the computer using your Microsoft User Account and change the password using Settings. Change Microsoft Account Password Using Settings On the next screen choose the “I Forgot My Password” option, and then click the “Next” button.Even if you have forgotten Microsoft password, you can set a new Microsoft Password for your Microsoft Account by going to Microsoft’s Password Recovery page. Underneath the password field, click the “Forgot My Password” link. But the password for your Microsoft account will be different than the password for an external account. Microsoft even lets you sign up for a Microsoft account using external email addresses-like your Gmail address. Note that because changes over the years, you might have used any Microsoft-related email account as your Microsoft account. Type your Microsoft username, and then click the “Next” button. In your web browser, head to the Microsoft Account page, and then click “Sign In” in the top right corner. If you’ve forgotten the password for your Microsoft account-which might be an account at, ,, or even -you can’t really recover that same password, but it’s easy enough to recover your account by resetting your password to something new. If you don’t use a password manager, those complex passwords can be hard to remember.
